Two new CLAAS high capacity balers will make their working debut at the FTMTA Grass and Muck in Ireland and at Grassland UK at the Bath & West Showgrounds.
The Claas Quadrant 3300 produces a bale 120cm x 90cms. the 3300 uses a prechamber to compress material before entering into the main chamber this can be controled automaticaly or manualy using the Communicator control terminal. The pickup is 2.35m wide and has the 500mm rotor feed star rotor that revolves at 160 rpm. the plunger works at 46 strokes per minute with a maximum chamber pressure of 200 bar. Bales are tied with 6 knotters using a single knot to make strings easy to remove.
The CLAAS Rollant 375 and 374 fixed chamber round balers feature heavier duty drives and stronger long life chains there is a new hydraulic drop floor below the chamber that enables the operator to clear blockages. there is a 2.10m pickup with a choice of either the roto feed star rotor or the 16 blade roto cut chopping cyclinder. For increased density the Rollant 375 features the new MPS 11 pressure system where 3 rollers in the chamberswing down to exert pressure on the bale in the earlt stage of formation.
Both the CLAAS Quadrant 3300 and the Rollant 375/374 are available for this season.
