The new design of the SULKY power harrows aims at total robustness in the demanding conditions of combined drilling with an “integrated” seed drill. In particular the adoption of a strengthened solid coupler head with special high elastic limit steel and redesigned side braces will be noted. The central gearboxes accept more power at power take-off: 190 HP for the 3.00 m and 220 HP for the 3.50 and 4.00 m working widths.
New non-stop oversized track eradicators have been developed. They are slightly angled to be incorporated into the power harrow without the risk of interaction with the tractor tyres.
As far as ergonomics are concerned, the new levelling bar has a centralised adjustment by a handle. This adjustment is simple and accessible. Always with the aim of facilitating operations in the field, even with a seed drill coupled on the power harrow, the scraper bar can be completely retracted to make cleaning the roller easier. The side deflectors are extended and can be adjusted so that their anti-ridging action is optimum, even at current sustained forward speeds.
The Series 1000 work quality has also undergone functional improvements. The tines have taken on a new, more receding shape which is therefore more favourable for traction.
The “Series 1000” SULKYS have retained two major assets: 4 rotors by meter to save traction power requirement and an exclusive system of fast dismantling of tines by the centre of the rotor.
For more than 10 years SULKY has guaranteed the gear troughs and the drive box of its power harrows.
