Armstrongs of the Naul Co. Dublin

In 1954 Robert Armstrong started a machinery business in Drogheda Co Louth selling Claas Combines for Louth. Alex Hutchinson joined the team at Armstrongs in 1969. New Holland became the franchise of Armstrongs in 1976 coupled with a change of premises to the Slane Rd in Drogheda.

Ownership of Armstrongs was taken over by Alex  Hutchinson in 1984 where business continued at the Slane Rd branch. With changing times saw the change to a new  premises in 1999 to the Naul Co. Dublin, to where operations are still performed today. Alex has 2 of his sons to help take on the responsibilities of the business, Charles who is the General Manager and Workshop Manager and James who is in sales, ensuring the best possible service at all times.

Alex is part of the Fingal Show Committee, with this he gets to show some of his prize possessions one of which is a world record holder. An all original 1966 Clayson M89 Combine which took part at the World Record Combine event this year, it was the oldest combine at the event. A 1965 Claas Matador standard is also part of the fleet which was originally sold from Armstrongs when new where Alex knew its history and bought it and maintained it to this day.

Armstrongs are to this day a main New Holland Dealer as well as agents for Knight, Gem Sprayers, Kuhn, Lely, Sulky and NC trailers.
